GEORGE MULLER CHILDREN'S HOME(GMCH)

In India, we can see thousands of children who are orphans, poor and needy, marginalized & hapless victims of most deprived community in the gutter and streets. They need food, clothing, shelter, education and of course Christ's love. In our home we have 44 inmates-orphans, semi-orphans & destitute. The home is managed by a manager; the children are taken care of by a warden and three cook's to cook their food. A small step for us is a giant leap for God.

AIM

"To train and to mould the marginalized, the most backward and the orphan children for their overall development imbibing socio-spiritual &religio-secular values that would help them evolve themselves into worthy citizens of the country with high ethical values and strong sense of patriotism and thus building the kingdom of God for the common good of all transcending caste, creed &colour."

GMCH provides all basic amenities for the overall growth & development of all these inmates towards fully realizing & optimizing their creative, critical, innovative and academic potentials to grow in faith & spirit,so that each one of them become worthy citizens of this country & global citizens in future with the dearly cherished Christian values of love, tolerance, peace and universal human hood.

Education liberates. Education empowers. Education moulds the personality. All these inmates are given quality education in good educational institutions in Nagercoil. The GMCH takes care of their studies, their clothing, their food, their curricular & co-curricular activities and everything that will make them a good human person with noble ideals in life.

Our GMCH does not believe in giving them fishes but we are committed to helping them with the art of catching fishes for themselves, so that as they grow they become independent, self-confident &self-reliant. GMCH is environment friendly; it has the right ambience for the overall growth of the children.

AMY CARMICHAEL GIRLS HOME (ACGH)

Now there has been a growing demand for providing shelter, food and education to girl children as well, besides the boys. In order to help them sustain their faith and life in the Lord, these children ought to be accommodated in a Second Home, a home away from their homeless homes. The Christ's Harvest Mission has, therefore, taken upon itself the noble task of putting up a Rehabilitation Home by way of providing these children a hygienic, decent living and equally affordable education. But with unswerving faith in our Lord, we have ventured to embark upon the task of, in the words of Nehemiah, 'arising and building' a home for the hapless poor, a home that the Lord will bless and sanctify. We have started the construction work and our desire is to finish before June.
